TASCHEN is set to publish the first comprehensive monograph dedicated to Ai Weiwei this month. As one of the world’s leading conceptual artists, it’s no secret that Weiwei transcends traditional gallery borders with his politically-charged work. The statements he makes for free expression could hardly be bigger or bolder. The eponymously titled book takes a closer look at the artist’s life and work through its 700 pages and is available to pre-order now, signed by the artist and wrapped in a silk scarf. A £9,000 version – presented on a marble plinth – has already sold out.
