BB King, RIP

You’ve probably already seen the news: blues legend BB King died in his sleep last night at the grand old age of 89. Certainly one of the greatest of all time, the King was born in Mississippi and influenced an entire generation of electric blues-inspired musicians. So many good tracks, but this performance from 1972 at Sing Sing prison still goes down as one of the best moments from King’s career. King himself called it one of his greatest performances, and at the time, New York’s Daily News called it one of the greatest moments in live entertainment. The concert also featured Joan Baez – you can buy the film over here. Relax In Paradise, BB King.
