Graham McIndoe – ‘All In. Buying Into the Drug Trade’

All In is photographer Graham McIndoe’s documentation of the heroin market. Intrigued by the typography and design of the glassine envelopes used to package dope, stamped and marked with references to the popular culture, the images within are of heroin bags collected during a period of the artist’s own addiction to the drug. Dealers brand and market their product like entrepreneurs in any business, pairing names like Dead Medicine with a skull and crossbones to appeal to risk-takers, or an airplane labeled First Class to give the illusion of grandeur. It’s a spartan introduction to Heroin branding, but one that carries real weight. Published by Little Big Man.
