Frank O’Hara’s ‘Lunch Poems’ is 50

Yesterday marked the 50th anniversary of what is one of the most beautiful collections of poetry, in my mind. Frank O’Hara’s Lunch Poems were written on a little Olivetti during his lunch breaks at MoMA. And from that rather docile origin comes a vivacious collection of poems that can lighten any day. Anyway here’s Frank reading Having a Coke With You to celebrate the anniversary.

For those inclined to open wallets I’d suggest getting the 50th anniversary edition of Lunch Poems from City Lights: bit.ly/1lRfRd9
