THEM magazine is a fairly new Japanese title – the latest in a handful of Nippon publications which we purchase for the pictures alone (our Japanese isn’t up to scratch!). The magazine has recently launched its third issue – we can attest to both the product selection and editorial calibre printed in the first two issues, and give this one the default Peach Fuzz stamp of approval too. Whilst THEM might appear to be of the GRIND / POPEYE / SENSE fold, they claim to be different from their competitors, announcing “Japanese magazines look all the same (according to overseas creators)”. Huh. The mission is to be an “overwhelming visual source… absolutely compelling”. Volume 03 runs with a sports theme and features a cover shot by Uncle Terry. Go get it.
