Nepenthes New York has recently opened an exhibition of surf photography by Japanese-born, Queens-based photographer Masahiro Noguchi. Timed perfectly to coincide with a Nepenthes pop-up shop by Mar Vista ’50s surf revivalists, Yellow Rat, Moments Emerge From Nothing showcases Noguchi’s eye for sun-soaked seascapes, beach life and a lovely sense of calm that inevitably goes hand in hand with floating on a surfboard in the Pacific.
