A look back at the fleeting psychedelic days of the 13th Floor Elevators, this film is a 40-minute ode to the band and the genius behind it, Roky Erickson. The narration at the start comes from Jim Langdon’s column in the Austin American. It’s a fittingly trippy exploration of the implosion of the band due to psychotropics, weird behaviour, subsequent insanity and one pesky joint that led to imprisonment (again).
