Sad news to hear about the untimely death of orignal Z-boys team member and skateboarding legend, Shogo Kubo today. Shugo passed away while stand up paddle boarding in Hawaii yesterday, although the cause of his death is currently unknown. Shogo was born in 1959 in the southernmost part of Japan, in Kagoshima City, but emigrated to California as a kid, where he soon became a part of skateboarding’s seminal Venice Beach/Dogtown movement. An absolute legend – he was 54.
