Paying tribute to the dub rhythms present in Linton Kwesi Johnson’s infamous lament, we’ve focused on lighter themes in our Spring 2014 Stussy editorial of the same name; Inglan is a Bitch.
While unemployment, boredom and inner city dwelling are all relative to the ways of living stylised in the shoot, Inglan is a Bitch embraces the fact that we love to bemoan these conditions, although really, we relish the time spent with friends. Today’s youth still make their own fun and in England – even in the summer months – this means making do with drizzle, Rizla, Red Stripe and homemade sound systems.
Styled as worn, Inglan is a Bitch is a uniquely British take on Stussy’s colourful springtime offering; a hat-tip to this island’s many subcultures and the good vibrations we’re feeling in 2014. Shout out to Tim, Alex, Jordan and Costa!
